Genuine. Loyal. Down to Earth. Understanding. These attributes most accurately describe Dr. Crawford, and should be exactly what you look for in a plastic surgeon. Raised in rural Aiken, South Carolina, Dr. Crawford has extensive education and training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

EDUCATION

Prior to his medical education, Dr. Crawford spent summers during college performing polymers research at NASA research centers around the country.

TRAINING

Following medical school graduation, Dr. Crawford stayed at Baylor College of Medicine to receive training in one of the most rigorous training programs in the country located in the largest medical center in the world. This program is home to the surgical pioneers who developed today’s techniques and devices for breast augmentation. In addition to extensive training in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Crawford received training in state-of-the-art reconstructive techniques at the world-renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

Dr. Crawford’s medical contributions had an international impact when he participated in a medical mission trip to repair cleft lip and palate deformities on children. Dr. Crawford joined Operation Smile to Lima, Peru, where he was able to offer his services to children who did not have the resources to have these congenital deformities repaired

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Dr. Crawford’s academic achievements include multiple peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and presentations to professional societies. I have some type of bump on the side of my eye that keeps growing. I now think I need to get it removed. How serious is this surgery? Also, will insurance cover this?

Insurance usually covers lumps and bumps that are  new and growing. It is difficult to know if it is serious without an examination by a physician, but I would start with your primary care physician and that doctor can refer you to a surgeon if needed.

Dr. Crawford, I’d like to do a fat transfer from the stomach to breasts. Is that possible and is there a consultation fee?

Fat transfer is possible to various areas of the body, but we would need to evaluate you to know if you are a good candidate.  We have consultations available in person or online, but there is a fee for both.

Dr. Crawford, what is the average cost for a tummy tuck?

Our average cost for a tummy tuck ranges from $8000-$10,000 depending on the patient and if additional procedures are needed.

I would like to ask if Smart Liposuction is safe and effective?

Smart Liposuction can be safe if performed by a qualified surgeon, but studies within plastic surgery have shown similar results (not better) to regular liposuction.

I’m HIV positive. Is surgery an option? I want to get a butt lift.

Patients with well-controlled HIV can receive various types of cosmetic surgery, including butt lifts.

Dr. Crawford, what are the chances of someone getting an appointment in your office. Since you’re on reality TV, I’m sure it’s extra hard to get an appointment!

We are always accepting new patients.  Local Atlanta patients can schedule an in-office appointment and out of town patients can take advantage of our virtual consults on our website www.crawfordplasticsurgery.com

Good morning, I would like to have tummy tuck and breast implants and lift. I’m height 5 ft 5 inches and I weigh 224 pounds. Do I need to lose before I can get the surgery?

Ideally, you should lose 50-60 pounds.

Dr. Crawford what is the cost for a belly to butt fat transfer for a 55-year-old African-American male?

Our surgical costs are based on time, so we would need to do an evaluation (in person or virtual consultation through our website) to determine how much time would be required.

Dr. Crawford, I am interested in liposuction and tummy tuck. I weigh 276. Is that to heavy to have the surgery?

The weight is only one factor.  We also evaluate your height and overall body mass index.  You will likely need to lose some weight, but the exact amount will depend on the other factors.
